Aloka – a place for meditation and dhamma

With its ambience - a quiet tranquil place located in a bush setting with a sandstone ridge and rock outcrops - Aloka is an excellent place for meditation. It has many sites both built and natural that are excellent for meditation. The area is also abound with native flora and fauna. The ridge has a commanding view of the Brisbane Waters National Park.

Aloka is also easily accessible, being only less than an hour drive from northern part of Sydney, 30 minutes from Gosford and an hour from Newcastle.

Aloka has a meditation programme suitable for beginners and practitioners. Many people have come to Aloka to learn to meditate and benefited from this important living skill.

Aloka has brought happiness to them. In turn this happiness has been shared with others. A person who has developed happiness from inner peace can inspire others to do the same – like a lamp that lights up the mind of others. The more we practise the more joy it brings to us and others.

Aloka is truly a place for healing of the hearts, spiritual growth and enlightenment.

We are grateful to Venerable Mahinda and Sister Sumitra for guiding us.
